Come As You Are-A MeMe

 My buddy Rich Dansereau just tagged me for the newest round of Meme's that is going around!

This one is kind of fun because it's easy (very easy) ....I don't know what my response is going to say about me. Perhaps someone is going to analyze the results?....Actually it reminds me of the "Come As you Are " party's we had when I was younger. Inevitably when the phone call came I had on a baggy shirt, no makeup (but dabs of Noxema) and rollers in my hair!

 So with out furthur ado....here are the rules!

The concept is quite simple. Here is how it works.

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 56.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.

5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the Closest.

6. Tag five people to do the same

*The one book that this can not be is the Bible*

~~~~~~
This is no where near as impressive as the poem quotes that just happened to be on Rich's desk! As my luck would have it...and true to form...I happened to be on the computer and reading a cookbook...I'm thinking of doing a Holiday Open House and was looking for easy appetizers!
Everyday Food
Using a wooden spoon or potato masher, lightly mash some of the beans to thicken the soup. Stir in lemon juice. Season with Salt and Pepper. Before serving, sprinkle with Parmesean.(to store, refrigerate up to three days, in an air tight container)
The next group of victims lucky friends will be:
Carole Provenzale Carole
William Johnson (sorry William) William
Tom Braatz  Tom
Joan:  First of all... Rich tagged me too... so I don't know if I will ever talk to him again... LOL.  I believe there is a rule that if you end up writing about food... that you have to ship a dinner of that dish to whomever requests it.  So... my address is on my AR profile page... and I thank you in advance.  Extra Parmesan, please.  :)
Joan:  A nice hot bowl of good soup would go over very well with me right now.  Yum... love good soup.  And yes... Yay Hillary... hope she gets Secretary of State.  She would be great at the post !
This is an interesting meme.  I look forward to seeing more of these soon.  Glad to see that you took it literally.  I might be tempted to grab a book from another room.  :)
This is too cute.  I have never heard of a Meme like this before.  Now I am hungry for soup, however.
Joni - you are too funny!  A cookbook?
Oh well, find ai good recipe and either 1) send me the recipe, or 2) cook it up and bring it on down!  LOL
Joan - Ok so both you and Chris Fisher had cookbooks on your desks at work! That is pretty funny...and you both had soup recipes on page 56! Now we will need the entire recipe please, it is getting cold in east Tennessee! I have been cutting firewood for days and soup sounds great. Thanks for playing.
Joan,
This is a very interesting meme....not near the work of the usual ones and very playful too!
I wish I lived closer and could drop by to your open house....I'd even bring a few of my favourite dishes.
HAHA!  Mine is a cookbook too!  That's so funny.  At least I'm not alone in having a cookbook at work.
I love your blog header graphic, that's really cute.
Now Jason....no cheating even if it's a Spidey comic!
Melody...that looked like a pretty good soup too
Leesa....hmmm does it mean I'm a foodie or maybe that I'm a very tactile person?
Carol...I'll send it to you!
Rich...I'll email it to you too...it looked really good!
Jo...I wish you lived closer too. I haven't had an open house in a while and I love entertaining!
That is funny Chris...great minds! I got the name logo on a site that does all sorts of different name graphics...
