I often refer to the Millbrook Gallery as Concord's best kept secret.
It is a delightful place with ever changing exhibits (indoors and out). They feature local artists, host exhibits, partake in community events and offer a delightful escape for a Sunday afternoon!
This past weekend we went so that we could see some of the new outdoor exhibits....before W
inter comes!
WOOLLY MAMMOUTH-Bob Shannahan
This is the guy I really wanted to see! He is life size and very impressive! He is made of cranberry, cattail, white clover, alder and sedge grass. His "toenails" are stones
It's in the eyes

This is called (of all things) THE HAND

THE CROWS-B Kirkpatrick
The artist really captured the angular edginess of crows....ready to swoop!

Granite and Bronze Pumpkins-William Royall
These were very real looking. They looked like the new breed of white pumpkins we are seeing this year.

This artist definitely has a sense of humor! His work is called:
PARACHUTIST- Nat Witschonke
or
LEG TABLE

This is an original"Natural
Woman"
WOMAN OF THE WOODS- Joseph DeRobertis
There were many more sculptures to see and some wonderful displays of jewelry, glass blowing, sculpture and paintings. It was a peaceful and enjoyable visit. I will leave you with one of my favorites.
Galapagos Tortoise- Patrick Johnson

Joan very interesting exhibition and I am glad you share it with us. I was thinking of a spot in my yard where a leg table would work....lol
Hi Jennifer...if you saw anything you liked...call them and they'll ship it. But you can't have the leg table witout the garden hand!
Wow! What fun! I just love the woolly mammoth. That's incredible. You could always bring me the hand as a housewarming gift. LMAO Love it!
Joan,
WoW, what beautiful sculptures and art! I love the woolly mammoth and the pumpkins. I used to grow white pumpkins when my sons were very small....we called them ghost pumpkins. The seeds I had were a heritage variety that the natives used to grow for hundreds of years on this continent and I remember they were a real novelty at the farmer's market where I used to sell them.

Joni, These sculptures are ALL incredible but WOW, that tortoise is amazing! Goodness knows what this fabulous artist charges but I've been looking for one for a project! Thank you for an amazing tour.
Hi Joan... I was just thinking that the parachutist might be interesting on the sundeck located 11 floors beneath my balcony! :) It looks like y'all had a fun visit to the gallery!
Hi Joan, How cool is that! Great photos and a really fun experience and glad you shared it with all of us. Very cool post. You are becoming quite the photographer. Your fall photos were awesome!
How fun! I love the legs! By the Way, who does the woolly mammoth remind you of? This definately is going to be on my to do list!
Carol..that mammoth was absolutely incredible! I have a feeling the hand was a bit more than I would spend on a housewarming gift!
Jo...that is such a fun lace to visit! I had never seen white pumpkins before, but they are all over the place this year!
Carole...the tortoise is fabulous and his finishes look sooo real!
Stevareno!...it would have been an expensive joke!...but funny! Sort of like those legs people have hanging out of their trunks!
Hi William...I really love taking pictures! Then I like to manipulate them in some of the fun programs. You have done some beautiful "shows". You're no slouch!
Joan....This is the place I wanted you and your husband to go to with us! Is that a trick Question? Who is the woolley mammouth supposed to remind me of? Do I dare ask?
These are awesome! The turtle is my favorite too, though I would love to have that parachutist in one of my gardens!
Rich...I have a feeling you could find something similar in a garden shop! It is very funny!
I wanted to take that turtle home!
Joan, I really like the leg table sculpture. The others are interesting as well. Thanks for sharing these with us.
You're welome Gary! So glad you stopped by to visit! That table would look so cool on a brick patio!
Thanks for the post
