A little over a year ago I joined an online diet support group. My own personal Community.
The first couple of weeks were spent lurking and trying to get a feel for the thread and the people on it. When I finally jumped in I was greated warmly and deluged with questions about myself and my goals.
I solidified my ranking in the group by really getting into graphics. I became the "go to"
Graphics Queen !
People have come and gone in our little group.Those of us who remain refer to ourselves as a family. We have supported each other throught divorce, illnesses, retirement,and loss of "life" family members. We have shared successes, grandchildren and vicarious world travel.
When someone does't post for a while some or all email to find out if there is a problem. A few have been fortunate enough to meet. We are all talking about a Summer get-together!
This support group has become so much more. They are my other family and...
They miss me when I'm gone!
