Summer weather is not quite over and there's still time to pack up the little ones for a trip to Santa's Village in on Route 2 in Jefferson NH.

Santa's is open weekends through September from 9:30-5:00, limited weekends October and November and all weekends in December (of course!) with special programs and festivities.

Santa's Village is a family theme park geared for younger children but fun for all ages and everyone who's a kid at heart!
You will meet many North Pole Residents! Your bound to see Mrs Clause and can sit on Santa's lap-you'll even see where he keeps his reindeer!
Ride the Ferris Wheel or the Log Flume Ride. Or take the train
and tour the extensive grounds.
Jefferson is a beautiful part of our State and there is a lot to see. You may want to consider making it a weekend. The White Mountains Attractions Association is a great place for information. Check them out and plan your visit.
Winter's not that far away!

"I love what I do, and it shows in how I do it"

hi Joan!
We have a Santa's Village here in Ontario too...it's in Bracebridge and when I was a child we stopped there every summer on our way to visit relatives in the north. It looks very similar to your pictures...so much fun for children!
Jo
Hi Jo...It really is a magical place for little ones...I would imagine it is a common theme in lots of places! It's gorgeous country too!
Hi Joan, A seasonal reminder? 116 days until Christmas and the countdown begins. Guess I better get shopping soon, LOL. Actually I usually have already started by now. But I like the idea of the Santa's Village. What matter that the Spirit of Christmas is in our hearts year around, I like the idea. Now that would make for a kinder and gentler nation.
The White Mountains are really beautiful indeed. I love the close up picture of the Moose. Big ole bugger isn't he. The foliage colors are nothing short of God showing what a brilliant artist he is in the use of the color. Thanks for sharing this and I certainly impressed.
Joni,
We love the White Mountains. It's getting close to "frost on the pumpkin!"

How is my favorite east coast Realtor?
This sounds like I could hang out here.
Sincerely

Now you've done it! LOL Gone and made me homesick for Grandpa's farm. Just down the road in Jefferson Meadow. I have many fond memories of that area.
Especially that hot-dog stand on the way to Berlin ....
Hi Joan! How did I miss this place on my recent visit? I bet it's more fun with snow though, so maybe I'll come back in the winter!
Oh how fun!! Because of your post, Santa's Village is going to experience an end of summer surge of business. They should give you a little bonus. ;-) GBU!
I love Santa's Village. I went there as a child and I brought my children there. I'm sure there will be visits with grandchildren in the future. It is a wonderful place for memories to be made.
Joan, I have never heard of this place but it sounds just wonderful anytime of the year! I am trying NOT to think about winter with these beautiful days we still have :)
William...have you ever been out this way? I'll be your tour guide! maybe you could plan it for when they have one of their Moose Festivals and hunts up North!!
Oh Mike...don't remind me! It's sooooo depressing :-(
Hi Tombo...are you trying to say you're a kid at heart? I do think you are one!!!
Carol...boy you really have lived all over haven't you! It's too bad we couldn't have done some touring when you were her.
Hi Shatz....It pretty far North. You'd have to have spent quite a bit more time!
I think you need to plan a longer visit then I can show all of you some great spots!
Hi Elizabeth...so great to see you! A little birdie told me that you and Carol hit it off really well...she's in the doghouse cause she didn't get pictures!
This would be such a fun trip for young kids! I would have been too excited for words as a kid, to see where Santa lives!
Rich...my son loved it ...but even more he loved 6 Gun City which was down the road. He wasn't allowed to play with guns but there the kids get a holster etc. and get deputized to chase Bank robbers. It's adorable!
