Once again New Hampshire is in the news! Unity New Hampshire, a small town in the western part of the state, is hosting two Big Name Democrats....Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton.
This is part of the on going effort to mend any rifts in the Democratic Party between those who supported Hillary and those who are Obama supporters. Interestingly enough the name of the town and the NH visibility are not the only reasons for choosing Unity....it would seem that in the recent election an equal number of votes (107) were cast for each candidate.
This fact, seems to me, makes Unity a very representative example of todays Party makeup!

Is Unity anywhere near Concord? Will you be going? Reminds me of another town I remember in Arkansas...Hope!
Hi Rich...Unity is about 1 1/2 hrs. from Concord. It's in the western part of the State. I would have loved to have gone but you had to make reservations and couldn't drive in...they were busing people cause the town couldn't handle the cars!
Carole...those people will be talking about this for weeks!! It's a big time happening!
Joan, thanks for the streaming video on the Unity political stop Friday. It put them definitely on the map for a day. Talk about politics. Just picking that town for its name. Amazing!! I love NH and your area. What a great state!!

Joan, maybe I'm just a cynic, but the whole thing seems way too contrived for me. Picking a town called Unity? Wearing exactly pre-matched baby blue colors? And symbolic blue tones for the blue states? Gag me with a spoon...

Hi Joan... I just get a gut feeling that Hillary doesn't really want the VP spot. Now, if Obama gets to appoint a Supreme Court Justice... I think she'd be all about that and she'd be GREAT!
