
Established in 2000 by Jeff Eisenberg, the Manchester Monarchs are a primary affiliate, in the AHL, of the Los Angeles Kings.
Part of their Mission Statement is to: Offer exciting and professional ice hockey action and family enertainment at affordable prices. They strive to be a constructive force in the Community, investing themselves and their resources in making a positive impact throughout New Hampshire

In 2001 the Monarchs took to the ice for the first time at their "home ice" The Verizon Arena. And in a very short period of time they have led more than 90 other North American minor pro hockey teams in attendance rankings! They have also advanced to the Calder Cup playoffs over the past 6 seasons!
The Monarchs have also received many Community awards and recognitions from: New Hampshire Magazine, Business New Hampshire Magazine, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the (Boy Scouts) Daniel Webster Council...to name but a few!
Their Community Charitable Arm (The Monarchs Care Foundation) have distributed over $1,200,000 in cash merchandise and tickets. The organizations that have been supported are Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs,Heritage United Way and Special Olympics are on the "list".
In addition to Charitable Giving the Monarchs Booster Club (MMBC) holds community contests and events and awards a monthly award called the "Wild Rover Player of the Month Award".

I grew up with two brothers that played all star hockey and then raised three boys who played hockey. One of my sons is still playing hockey now in university. Both of my brothers still play hockey in men's leagues.
Even my Mother played on a girls hockey team when she was a teenager!
