Joan, It's wonderful that they are giving back to the community and advancing.  I can't exactly call our Ice Hockey "family" fun with all the fights (which, by the way, the fans love).

WoW, Joan,

What a wonderful hockey team....and they're doing so well in the rankings too...awesome!

I grew up with two brothers that played all star hockey and then raised three boys who played hockey. One of my sons is still playing hockey now in university. Both of my brothers still play hockey in men's leagues.

Even my Mother played on a girls hockey team when she was a teenager!

Joan - It's great that there is actually a hockey team that doesn't relish just beating up on each other.  LOL  I don't watch hockey, don't understand it.  Had 2 nephews that played all the time and I still can't tell you anything about it.

Carole...I have always really liked hockey except for the violence. The semi-pro teams are not as forgiving of that behavior as are the professional.

Jo...having grown up in Boston with the Boston Bruins...you can't help but like hockey. These local teams are great because they allow for affordable family participation. Isn't it the Canadian National Sport?

Carol...hockey is one of the few sports I do enjoy watching...probably because it's fast moving! It can be very exciting!

Joan~Our family loves hockey and this post completely brings back some great memories of a good hockey game. What a great amount of giving back the Monarchs are doing. Have a great night!
