My grand daughter calls me Poppa. This is Poppa's puppy, Poppy. I love my animals! I adopted him from the animal shelter. ...some lady just abandoned him and another one just like him. My daughter got the other one!
Joan,
This is going to be a wonderful event, I'm sure. Who can resist all those little furry faces smiling at you as you walk by? Not me! I'm a sucker for them!
As you can tell....
Jon...What a cutie! I love Yorkies (he is a Yorkie?)
Here are my two...both rescues! Dandi and Tidbit
Joni~
Oh I love your posts...and so do my tow rescued furr-pals... THX for the L-U-V

Promoting the rescue of abandoned animals is high on my list. Thanks.
My favorite thing to do is get gifts for my pooches- they love everything, they don't tell me that it's the wrong color/size, and they play with whatever it is until it ISN'T (especially the bulldog). Thanks for the reminder that another gift giving opportunity approaches- Oliver will thank you, as well! :)
Joan - Buddy was a stray wandering the alleys when we found him (or he found us!) and neither one of us could stand to see him eating out of garbage cans. The rest is history.
When we took him to the vet for the first time the doc asked where we had gotten him. I said he was a stray...Good ol' doc says, "Yeah - they always know where the suckers live!" and then he laughed like mad. But after the exam he said that Buddy would probably not get past 40 pounds. I was ok with that. But today - at a whopping 92 pounds.....
When I took him back in for a checkup or something (can't remember) I told doc that this was the pup he said wouldn't get past 40 pounds. His answer? "So I lied!" and then he laughed and gave the Bud-Man a hug.
I've always had animals - dogs, cats, horses, cows, birds, fish. Life isn't complete without an animal or two running around!
Hi janeAnne...haven't talked to you in ages! Good to see your name. I haven't done any "green" posts lately but have a good one in mind for nicer weather!
Your babies are adorable!
Carol...I had to laugh at what your Vet said...and it didn't surprise me...you're a softie!
95 lbs!! that's a BIG dog...mine are about 12lbs and maybe 16...LOL
Joan, they don't care if it's a sock (and I've lost plenty of matches), as long as it's from us. God love 'em.
I often get left out of the fun as my wife favors our pugs over my poor sense of humor. February is for pet lovers=truth.
