Everybody loves the Fair!
A few weeks ago we attended the Hopkinton Fair in Contoocook. New Hampshire.
The temperature had been very hot for this time of year so we all decided to try the Fair at night!
I live quite close to the Fairgrounds so my husband, brother, sister-in-law, niece and I grabbed the baby's stroller....and off we went!
Of course we have the obligatory Equipment Display! Wouldn't be the Fair without it!
Not to be out done by
Chainsaw Art!
But of course....since it was Dinner Time
Food was on everyone's mind!
Never Too Young
The Texas Grill
Guys
Nellie-Vladimir-Steve
Serbian Grill Masters!
New Hampshire Fairs still emphasize Agriculture, 4-H Animal Raising and Horse Pulling so we spent a good deal of time in the various Barns.
Ouch!!
I'm thinking Old Fashioned is best!
This guy was truly Majestic!
One Pooped Piggy
There were plenty of other sites to see...
This Guy Was Extremely Annoying

Fun Was Had By All!!

There are still more Fairs left to attend!!
Deerfield Fair ~ September 30 thru October 3rd

You are so lucky, I grew up in Mn. and I miss the fairs in the fall. The San Diego County Fair is great, but that evening chill and the dew on the ground in the evening just is there.
The Hopinkington fair looks like it was a lot of fun. I still can't figure out Texas grill with Serbian Grill Master... In New Hampshire???? :)
Joan, I just passed my favorite haunted hayride place- while I'm really sad to see the warm weather go, fall does have its perks! Looks gorgeous in your neck of the woods!
Hello Jon...
this State is still very rural in feel and outlook! My favorie is the Sandwich Fair....it's a very rural area and does a lot of animal shows, pulls etc.
Hi Joan...it was fun! Only two of the guys were from Serbia. Not so stranges....one Summer my Brother hired from Croatia! The owner of the Grille traveled from Connecticut!
Hi laurie....it's just about time to drive around and oogle! The Marsh areas have started to change already!
I took some photos at a Lancaster PA fair earlier this summer. Your post has now inspired me to write a blog on them while we're still in the season!
Go for it Brian!!
Hi Sharon...The cutey is my niece....she's a hellion! Her folks are in Europe and she started walking just before they left. I correct myself, she doesn't walk....she runs. I just heard from her Dad...they are referring to her as "the Hurricane". I'm guessing they are having an interesting trip!
