One of the hardest things about starting a "new" profession is ....getting over the hump!
There is no manual to read explaining how long that will be. How long it will be before you don't get sweaty palms before meeting a new client, get tongue tied trying to convert an inquiry to a potential Buyer or not have a clue as to how to handle the simplest of situations! Feeling like you"get it"....seems to take forever!
I finally have gone over that hump! I am finally comfortable in my Realtor Skin. Not to say that I'm an expert...Lord knows I'm not. But I'm sure on what I do know and not afraid to ask...what I don't. I'm comfortable with being myself and finding that my clients...like me that way. I show that I really do care...and they know it!
Sure I have a lot more to learn. I'm learning every day! That's what life is all about!
But there are such rewards...ones you never thought of causing happy faces, fulfilling dreams, helping create a future. These are but a few!
I had a phone call today...from a past client. He called to see how I was! ...I repeat....he called to see how I was! I have a new friend!
I love this job! This job is right "up my ally" ![]()

Great post. Keep smiling and having fun and this will never feel like a job.
Hi Joan, life is always a smoother ride when we're doing what we love, nice to read that you found your niche.
Joan,
I love your post! This profession has its rewards, the people who become our friends in the end! :)
Hi Joan,
Nice to hear its going well !!! : )
Isnt it great the friendships we make in real estate. I love hearing from past clients. I have a client that is having a big bash at their new house and she is sending a special invite to me. I worked with her for about two months and she said she talked to me on the phone more than she did her best friend. I believe I have a friend and client for life.
