Joan

it may be the last rose of summer, but spring will soon be here with the first rose of a new spring.

Good luck and success.

It's so sad when the last of the flowers bloom.   A real sign that fall is here to stay!

I love that expression only because I was a tom boy and my dad always called me "the last rose of summer" when I came in for the night :)

Darn-- I am not at all ready for that white stuff...  I guess it will be here sooner than we think!  First is a lot of raking.

Is that what they mean when they say "the bloom is off the rose"?  It looks like it's ready for a winter nap.

Hi Joan, I think the photo certainly fits the title. Maybe add the word last to summer , LMAO. I missed getting a photo on today. Wordless Wednesday and I only have a bucket load of them.

Joni!  I am always so happy when I see you here!  I'm NOT happy that it's the last rose and can't wait (already) until they're budding again :)
