PUPPY LOVE

Meet Gretchen Peters-
Gretchen and her Hot Dog Stand, Puppy Love are a familiar sight around Concord!
The Peters Family started their business 30 years ago and it's still going strong.
Puppy Love was named 2004 NH Magazine's Best Hot Dog Stand
While I was talking to Gretchen several people
stopped for a dog. Gretchen knew them all by name.
Somthing tells me you'd feel right at home at Puppy Love.
The stand is open Monday thru Saturday from 10:30 to 3:00. It's open year round right there on Main Street (in Winter near the taxi stand!)...just look for the Bright Umbrella!
Be sure to tell Gretchen I sent you!
CITY SERVANT
Meet Paul Garland-
Paul works for the City of Concord.
Paul is in charge of maintenance and is responsible for making sure all the meters are working properly.
Paul is always gracious about answering questions from tourists or giving directions.
He is a familiar sight around and about downtown and is "Head and Shoulders" above the rest!
FLORA'S HAIR SALON
Meet George Kapos-
George owns and operates Flora's Hair Salon located at 239 Loudon Road on "The Heights"and a second Salon at 108 Fisherville Road.
George and his mother Flora (yes there really is a Flora) are a well known local business and are very involved in local fundraisers and worthy causes!(They also do a great hair cut!)
When not busy running running his business
....George is running the roads and maybe even a little "off road". He can easily be spotted in his very identifiable vehicle!
If you see the Hummer....say Hi for me!
COOL MOOSE CREAMERY
Meet Jim Lupien
Jim is the owner operator of The Cool Moose Creamery at 62 N Main Street. The Cool Moose is one of Concords newest establishments! A treat for the eyes as well as the tummy! There is even a "bar" to sit at and enjoy your treat of choice.
This is the Moose Car. It definitely
gets noticed!
If you look really carefully you may spot Jim in the drivers seat!
Stop in and say Hi! Word has it they accept NH Highway Department Toll Tokens!
(Preferred View??)
5/17/10 I am sad to report that the COOL MOOSE has closed!!
I hope you have enjoyed "Meeting The Neighbors" . There will be more introductions in the near future!
