A new, New Hampshire Legend

signI recently wrote a Blog about a Purple Truck.

It elicited some really fun comments. But the one that really got me thinking was from John Novak of Las Vegas, Nevada. Now maybe it's cause he's from a Gamblin town...but John suggested I post a Bounty on the Purple Truck!

Well I'm going take action on that suggestion! This could be a new-New Hampshire Legend. Heck...it's as least as intriguing as Flat James...but with a lot more mystery!

I need to know the WHOLE story on that Purple Truck! I need to know Who, Why, and What! I really need to know....it's becoming an obsession!

So as you (especially around NH) travel the roads. Keep those camera's loaded and ready, keep those eyes peeled, keep those ears open for any talk of, or sightings of, that Purple Truck.

There will be a generous reward of a Starbucks or Dunkin's gift certificate (your choice) for any information or picture that leads to its capture.

   Help me find my inspiration!

Okay -- I am on the case -- I have my camera and ready to capture the purple truck -- that truck may be long gone by now -- but I will keep a look out. I LOVE the color purple. Happy Memorial Day!

Joan, I don't live in NH, but I have a suggestion. I read your other blog (I am the one with the neighbor who has every color in the rainbow painted on the outside of her house) and I believe you talked to a trucker so, here is what you can do.

All truckers have a CB radio this way they can communicate with each other if they are in the same vicinity. I suggest talking to a few truck drivers (if you are comfortable) and ask them if they would announce whatever you want them to announce about the purple truck!!! It could work.

Joan - did you know that New England Homes uses purple trucks, similar to what you have pictured on your "Purple Truck" post?  And New England Homes is based here in Portsmouth......

One week later and no signs of the purple truck? I can imagine this may have started some pretty interesting conversations!

Thanks John... have had some fun responses and now have a "posse" of sorts keeping their eyes peeled.

Am thinking of upping the Bounty to include doughnuts!
